introduction

this is an independent and somewhat private roleplay blog, originally established on april 22nd, 2020 under the url @asoprano. this blog is relatively book-based with some influence from its musical counterparts. I also like to include films, including the silent film, the 90’s television series, non-musical stage productions, and miscellaneous media in my portrayal. admittedly, the andrew lloyd webber musical has me in a bit of a headlock. I acknowledge some pieces of fanon as well.my own headcanons are drawn on the most for inspiration and characterization, as well as specifically the david coward translation of the original leroux novel. most prequels, sequels, and retellings, such as susan kay’s phantom and andrew lloyd webber’s love never dies, will usually only appear in minute detail or in an alternate universe.all graphics, headcanons, writings, screencaps, etc are created from scratch by myself, for myself, and are not for public use. I do not own the original photo or videography. do not steal anything off this blog. I'll know. triggers and tagging

i try to keep common triggers tagged as ‘ tw trigger ’, but sometimes i slip up & forget. if you need to have anything specific tagged, please feel free to let me know! phantom has a lot to do with death, references strangulation & nooses, psychological horror & paranoia, drugs, the occasional suicidal ideation, & body horror, among other triggers. all will be tagged accordingly, but if any of these themes seem troubling for you, i recommend not following.i am an 18+ only blog, & as such mature topics will be found, written, & discussed here, but not without viewer discretion & warnings. there are, however, certain topics i won't touch with a ten foot pole. please don't come near me if you write rape, incest, etc. suggestiveness & smut may also be found, but discord is usually my preferred medium for anything intimate between muses. it depends on how i’m feeling, & how close our muses are. sometimes i get brave & post my filth on the dash.

following and unfollowing

blog maintenance

i have mostly stopped experimenting with my formatting at this point in time. i don't care how you format, as long as i can read it. i use minimal unicode & small font. i don't really care how your psd looks, or if you even have one. writing over aesthetics, always. graphics are never a must, they're just fun for me personally.i like a big dash with lots of people on it, & a wide variety of muses. i try not to follow more than 2-3 of a specific canon muse outside of phantom. occasionally i go on softblocking sprees to clear out inactive blogs & people i can no longer see myself interacting with. it’s usually nothing personal & in order to keep things clean. you are free to refollow. if i have a problem with you i can either softblock again or block.i take an unlimited amount of mains and i typically practice exclusivity based upon shipping; i do not usually subscribe to full exclusivity outside of this. in platonic relationships, i feel it limits me from collaborating with different writers. however, this is subject to change, and up to my discretion on case-by-case basises. if we write, and we decide to become one another’s exclusives, your portrayal of the muse will be the only one featured on this blog.mains, however, i will have multiple of the same canon muse at times. it all depends on the muse and how big the fandom is.i have a bad, bad, bad habit of changing christine’s faceclaim pretty often. try to quell your surprise if you see me posting something new regarding it on the dash without so much as a warning. christine is a muse i’ve had a long time, & she’s cycled through a lot of changes, & she is still constantly being developed as i continue to have her. if this is a nuisance to you, i don’t recommend following.this blog runs at permanent slow activity. this may change or fluctuate, but typically, i am as slow as an effing snail. snappier replies comes on discord, so feel free to ask for my user! i hoard memes & prioritize plotted interactions, or at least partially plotted. i just need context before jumping in. i post as i reply. i also adore shipping. if you ship our muses, chances are i ship it too, so come @ me! i will not ship christine with anyone below the age of 20 in her main verse, as she is 27 years of age. this does not apply in verses where she is younger ( ages 19-22 ).despite me using the 2004 movie for aesthetics, i find the bastardization of the plot, glorification of grooming, and general creepiness overall to be unsavory. i do not use this adaption as inspiration for my characterization.
